Your goal is to successfully compose a historical narrative(diary) that reflects the actual time period and customs/beliefs of those who lived and died in Early Colonial America. You can look back at notes, videos, and previously read pieces (The World on the Turtle’s Back, Verses Upon a Burning House…, To My Dear and Loving Husband, Half-Hanged Mary, and Young Goodman Brown, etc.) for inspiration, direction, and reference for your diary entries. Due to the fact that this is a fictional historical narrative, you will have to research important information in order to make your account as believable as possible to the reader. Basically, you are imagining that you are a person living during the times we have studied in class and describing a piece of your life.
